Quick morning chat. My full sit-down with Shea Lewis is live on the show. Shea is a VP at Salesforce. He hired me on interview number 20. But that's not the story I need you to hear this week. The story I need you to hear is what he said about telling people your dream. We sat down and Shea told me, as plainly as anyone has ever said it, that the roles you want, the rooms you want to be in, the doors you want to walk through don't get created by working harder in silence. They get created when you name them out loud, to the person who can do something with the information. If you don't say what you want, no one is building for it.
